We also offer qualified expert witness testimony.

Paediatric OT Services
Paediatric occupational therapy is a specialised type of therapy that focuses on a child’s physical, cognitive and social skills. It helps children develop the skills they need to participate in daily activities and enhances their ability to function within their environment. At Wise Occupational Therapy, Fiona Neilsen specialises in Paediatric OT Services.
The goals of paediatric occupational therapy include helping the child develop age-appropriate motor, social and sensory-processing skills. Exmaples of ways our Paediatric OT at Wise OccupationalTherapy have applied these therapy skills include:
Helping a child with autism spectrum disorder learn to communicate and interact with others more effectively
Helping a family with a child with cerebral palsy modify their home to make it more accessible and safe
During paediatric occupational therapy sessions, a therapist may use a variety of techniques designed to help the child develop skills such as fine motor coordination, sensory integration, and visual motor integration. The therapist may use play activities, gross motor activities, functional activities, expressive language exercises and more to help meet the individual needs of each child.
Fiona Neilsen can also provide family members with strategies to use at home to help promote a child’s development and retain the skills learned in each therapy session.
